Good Friday Marked With Calls for End to Social Evil

Good Friday celebrations in Kampala, have been marked with joint religious processions, that attracted hundreds of Christians across the city.
Christians from the Anglican, Orthodox, Baptist and some Pentecostal came together in what is seen as a unique celebration, when Churches unite in one liturgical celebration.
The head of the Catholic Church in Uganda, Cardinal Emmanuel Wamala, and the archbishop of the church of Uganda used the Good Friday religious festival, to appeal for active church involvement in the fight against social evil.
Cardinal Wamala, specifically pointed out to the urgent desire to eliminate corruption in Uganda.

On his part, Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi, told a large gathering of Christians at the constitutional square that, Christ's resurrection should mark an end to exploitation in Uganda.
