Robbers Raid Petrol Station in Lira

Police in Lira are searching for suspected armed thugs who robbed Gapco re-fueling station, three kilometers from Lira.

The Lira district police commander, Ivan Nkwasibwe, says that armed thugs raided the re-fueling station in the morning, stabbed the security guard to death and then broke into the safe. The thugs made off with huge quantities of money.

According to Nkwasibwe, preliminary investigations show, that the robbery was a result of collusion, between the staff at the refueling station and the robbers.
