Security has been stepped up ahead of President Yoweri Museveni's swearing in ceremony on Friday.
There is a heavy police and military presence along Entebbe road. Similarly the foot and motorized patrols have been beefed up in most sections of Kampala city.
The Regional Police Commander Kampala Extra, Grace Turyagumanawe, says that security has been beefed up to control possible threats to the public and the Heads of States that have started arriving in the country.

In a related development, roadside business stalls along Katwe, Kibuye, Najjanankumbi and Namasuba roads have been pulled down.
Most of the wooden kiosks along Entebbe road have been destroyed to clear the way from Entebbe International Airport.
