85 Karamajong warriors have appeared before the third division army court martial in Moroto, to answer charges of illegal possession of firearms.
The three day court hearing is being chaired Lt. Col. Edward Sebugwawo, the commander of the 405 brigade.
The third division army spokesman, Lt. Gabriel Lomogin, said the warriors were arrested during surprise disarmament operations.
He says that most of the warriors were arrested from Moroto, Kotido, Nakapiripirit and Kaabong districts.
Lomogin said the army recovered 350 guns and over 3,000 rounds of ammunitions in the last one month.
