Fuel Prices Still on the Rise

News
Fuel prices have continued to increase even as the country moves closer to the reading of the national budget.

Some patrol stations in Kampala have now pushed their pump prices up by as high as 30 shillings from 2290 to 2320 shillings a survey by Uganda Radio Network has shown.

Petrol and Total fuel stations on Old Port Bell Road and City Oil on Bombo Road are among some that have increased their pump fuel prices.

However a majority of the fuel stations have remained stable at 2290 shillings per litre of petrol.

It is highly anticipated that with a slowing economy resulting largely from unreliable power supply, government might try to squeeze more from petrol and other fuels but be more lenient on diesel.
