The Adjumani Chief Administrative Officer, Andrew Leru, has denied claims that he misappropriated 50 million shillings meant for the expansion of Adjumani airfield.
Leru has been under pressure from the people of Adjumani, to explain how the central government equalization grant meant for the expansion of the air field was spent.
Last year, Adjumani district received 28 million shillings to offset the expansion of Adjumani airfield.
Leru however explains that expansion of the airfield has delayed because of technical problems. He says that the graders broke down and the district has been slow at repairing them.
