Ugandan Female Boxers Prepare to take to the Ring in Nairobi

Sport
Two female Ugandan boxers, Florence Nalukwago and Irene Ssemakula, are gearing up for highly billed title fights to be held in Nairobi, Kenya next month.
Ugandan champion, Florence Nalukwago, faces Kenya's Conjestina Achieng in a middleweight bout to be held on August 5th at the Nyayo National Stadium basketball gym.
The eight-round women's fight was initially scheduled for June 3rd, but was postponed by the organisers, Timebomb Promotions, because it coincided with the 2006 FIFA World Cup final.
According to a report in Kenya's Standard newspaper, Achieng returns to the ring after a four-month lull since failing to win the WBC title. She lost on majority points to American Yvonne Reiss early this year.
Also on the card is Zimbabwean Monalisa Sibanda who faces Irene Ssemakula in a six- round bout.
