Government is investigating claims that officers of the Special Revenue Protection Service (SRPS) have killed smugglers in cold blodd.
Internal Affairs State Minister, Matia Kasaija, told Parliament on Wednesday that he has received reports that the SRPS officers have shot and killed armed smugglers in self-defense and not out of malicious intent. He however said the rate of the alleged killings is unacceptable and his Ministry is working to insure that such incidents don't continue.
