Immigration officials have arrested and detained two Rwandan nationals after presenting forged documents.
A woman only identified as Ndamagye and Leornard Katarakawe falsely acquired documents from the Rwandan Embassy in Kampala.
The Public Relations officer for the Immigration Department, Eunice Kisembo said that the two used Convetional Travel Documents from USA and Belguim to enter Uganda through Entebbe Airport two days ago.
A conventional document is used by a refugee or an asylum seeker and it allows one to move to anywhere except his country of origin.
Kisembo said that the two told immigration authorities that they were here to visit relatives.
While in Kampala, the two falsely secured temporary movement permits from the Rwandan Embassy on claims that they were Rwandese staying in Uganda.
Kisembo said that immigration officers at Entebbe airport arrested the two before they left for Rwanda Thursday afternoon.
Kisembo said that the two Rwandese are being detained at Jinja Road police station pending investigations.
