Taban Amin Dragged to UHRC on Torture Charges

Taban Amin, son of former president Idi Amin, has been dragged to the Uganda Human Rights Commission (UHRC) over allegations of torture.

Taban Amin, the Deputy Director General of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO) in charge of West Nile and Congo, allegedly tortured one Steven Mugagga during a fight over a woman in Kansanga.

Uganda Human Rights Commission Public Relations Officer, Florence Munyira says Mugagga reported the case yesterday and they are going to write to the Director ISO an explanation and if none is given in 14 days a file will be opened against Taban Amin.
