Police Discover the Body of Child Sacrifice Victim

Crime
After a two-week search, police in Kampala have recovered the body of a five-year-old boy, who it is suspected was the victim of child sacrifice.
Edwin Muguluma went missing from his parent's home in Lugala, but outside Kampala. His decomposing body was exhumed from a shallow grave in Masanafu in Rubaga division and taken to Mulago Hospital for a post mortem.
Police spokesman, Edward Ochom, says Muguluma's neighbour, Mapeera Kintu, confessed to killing the child and led them to his grave.

Police have also arrested Mapeera's mother, Elina Namayanja, for concealing her knowledge of the murder. Namayanja allegedly knew of the sacrifice and rushed her son to a witchdoctor in Masaka for a traditional cleansing ceremony. It was believed that the cleansing ceremony would protect Mapeera from the law.
The police are still holding Dr. Emmanuel Nadomi of Life Care Clinic in Lungujja, who was also implicated in the murder.
Muguluma's father, Luzinda Nsubuga says his son's will be released to him for burial on Thursday.
