Daunting Challenges for New Dokolo District Administration

Politics
The new Dokolo District chairman elect, John Okello, says that the absence of administrative structures has posed daunting challenges for the new Dokolo district administration.

Dokolo which was curved out of Lira district became operational on July 1st.

Okello says most leaders are new with no previous experience in administration. He says the matter has been made worse by lack of reference records. He also said the district is currently faced with the challenge of funding routine administrative expenses because their tax base is still very small.

//Cue in: iI just want to say Dokolo #
Cue out: i#achieved as quickly as possible. //

According to Okello, the police and the prisons departments are the only functioning sections of the district because their operations are controlled by the Central government.
