Army Recovers 50 Guns from Suspected Cattle Rustlers

News
The army in Karamoja region has recovered 50 sub-machine guns from suspected cattle rustlers who last week attempted to ambush the 105th Brigade in Nakapipirit, Lieutenant Colonel Hassan Kimbowa.

The third division army spokesperson, Lieutenant Henry Obbo, says the guns were recovered in a raid on a communal kraal in Lolachat village in Nakapiripirit district.

Obbo says the army had earlier received reports that Lolachat village is one of the major strongholds of cattle rustlers in Nakapiripirit district.

Obbo says no one was injured during the raids.
