UNEB Probes Drop in Exam Candidate Numbers

News
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is investigating the sudden drop in the number of candidates registered to take this year's primary and O-level examinations.
About 435,000 candidates are registered for this year's PLE compared to more than 445,000 last year. The number of students registered for the O-level exams this year has dropped by 364.
UNEB spokesperson, Eve Konde, says the drop was unexpected. She says UNEB opened several new examination centers, anticipating an increase in numbers.
