Kabale Singer Launches War on Bad Driving

Entertainment
Last month, Works, Transport and Communications Minister, John Nasasira, reported that traffic accidents in Uganda killed 10,000 people in the past five years.
For a Kabale-based musician, that figure is too high for him to keep silent about the poor driving in the country.
John Bosco Niwampa, one of Uganda's newest musical talents, says he has launched a war against bad driving. He says he will not sit by and watch as hundreds of Ugandans die every year because of over speeding, over loading, careless driving and ignorance of the traffic law.
Niwampa's says his campaign, based around his latest hit iSpeedii, aims at encouraging every member of society to be more proactive in ensuring safety on the roads. He says the responsibility for safety lies not only with motorists, but also with pedestrians and cyclists, and hopes that through his song people will be made more aware of the need to drive safely.
