Witchcraft scares at Masaka Municipality offices, on Thursday paralyzed work at the usually busy offices for almost six hours.
The witchcraft scare spun out of control, after some workers allegedly found suspicious items dumped outside the mayor's office.
The Municipality Speaker, Dennis Majwala, says among the items found outside the mayor's office included a head of a cock, pieces of backcloth and bird feathers.
Most of the workers who reported early for work, abandoned the building in panic.
Majwala says most workers stayed away from the offices, until some people were hired to remove the suspicious items.
