Ushs. 2m Robbed from Masaka Petrol Station

Crime
Armed robbers last night broke into Shell Buddu petrol station in Masaka town and stole two million shillings.
Masaka Criminal Investigations Officer Musa Kirenzi says the robbers struck at around 2:00am. They beat up two pump attendants to gain entry into the petrol station's offices, broke the safe and stole the two million shillings.
Police have arrested a security guard, Hassan Kyeyune, in connection with the robbery.
Kirenzi says that on interrogation Kyeyune, who is employed by Nile Guards Security Company, said that although he saw the heavily armed robbers, he was afraid to raise an alarm.
The two pump attendants, Ronald Kawooya and Angela Nabukenya, have been taken to Masaka Hospital for treatment.
