One of the oldest schools in Masindi district, Kabalega Secondary School, has received a 1.8 billion shillings grant to facilitate rehabilitation of the school's infrastructure.
Rev. David Turyagumanawe, the school's headmaster, said the grant was provided by the African Development Bank in recognition of the school's efforts in improving the standard of education. He said the money will be used to to rehabilitate the school laboratory which was burnt down three years ago.
Rev. Turyagumanawe was speaking during a party to celebrate the performance of Kabalega Secondary School in the 2006 O-level examinations. 78 of the 130 candidates who sat for the O-level exams at Kabalega Secondary School passed in Division One.
