  Through their lawyer Ayubu Musubo, the accused who are out on bail, in February filed an application before the court to halt the case citing that their petition filed last year at the constitutional court against the Attorney General and the Director Public Prosecutions risked being rendered irrelevant as both cases would overlap at times and are forced to attend one and leave the other.
