A court battle between incumbent Kibaale LC5 Chairman, George Nyamyaka and his rival, Henry Baguma is not about to end. Baguma has appealed against a high court ruling which threw out he filed challenging Nyamyaka's academic papers. Last week, Ralph Ocan, the Masindi resident judge said he was convinced by several of Nyamyaka's appointment and school posting letters, which all bear the name George W. Nyamyaka. But Baguma says he was not satisfied with Justice Ralph Ocan's ruling dismissing the case. Baguma says the Judge dwelt so much on the personality of Nyamyaka and not on the authenticity of the incumbent LC5 Chairman's academic papers. Baguma accuses Nyamyaka of forging his academic documents basing on variations in names. He argues that Nyamyaka holds a certificate he claims was issued by Makerere University bearing the name George W. Nyamyaka, while records at Makerere read George Nyamyaka. Nyamyaka, a retired Secondary school Teacher, has served as head teacher in various secondary schools around the country. He holds a diploma in Education attained from Makerere University then Makerere College in 1967. Baguma says he filed an appeal with the court of appeal in Kampala, and is optimistic that on Friday, the court will hear his case. Nyamyaka's camp is however not moved by Baguma's appeal. Stephen Mfsingabo Nyamyaka's chief campaigner says his candidate is currently compiling the amount of money to be paid to him by Baguma in court costs as directed by court last week. He insists that Baguma is only playing political games, saying his candidate has genuine academic papers. Mfsingabo has advised Baguma to apologize to Nyamyaka so that he charges him a reasonable amount of court costs. Baguma is standing against Nyamyaka for the Kibaale LC5 seat on an independent ticket.
