Kaliro Residents Threaten to Demostrate Over Poor Garbage Collection for the last two months

Residents of Kaliro town council are threatening to demonstrate over the mounting heaps of garbage in the town. The residents accuse the town council authorities of failing to collect and dispose off garbage over the past two months.
They say that with the onset of the rain season the uncollected heaps of garbage pose a great health hazard to their families. John Sajjabi, a resident of Kaliro Main Street says that they have given the town council authorities a two days ultimatum to remove the garbage or else they take to the streets.

Zuena Kasadha, a resident of Nakiyanzi village in Kaliro town accuses the outgoing Kamuli town council LC III chairman Samuel Gamulambuli of stopping the town clerk from cleaning the town because he lost the polls.
Gamulambuli denies the accusation saying that he has nothing to do with garbage collection because he conceded defeat and is ready to hand over. Stephen Kasadha, Kaliro Town clerk says all the garbage collection trucks have broken down and need repairs. He says that the town council mechanics are already working on the trucks before the garbage collection exercise can resume.
