Over 150 farmers from Bugisu, including men and women, are set to visit President Museveni’s farms in Luwero and western Uganda for a three-day learning program.
Namukobe Joyce, the program’s chief coordinator, shared that the farmers were chosen from six districts in Bugisu, including Manafwa, Bududa, Namisindwa, and Mbale. The visit will offer lectures on improved farming techniques and encourage a mindset shift towards modern agriculture.
Denis Wambani, a participant, expressed enthusiasm, seeing the trip as a chance to learn advanced farming practices and explore methods for wealth creation.
The team departed from Mbale to Kampala on Thursday afternoon.
