On Sunday, six deacons from the Kabale Diocese were ordained to the priesthood during a ceremony held at Rushoroza Cathedral in Kabale District.
The ordination was presided over by Bishop Calist Rubaramira of the Kabale Diocese. The newly ordained priests belong to three congregations: Apostles of Jesus (AJ), Spiritan Fathers (SF), and Montfort Missionaries (MM).
Those ordained are Deacon Anaklet Asingwire from St. Joseph Nyamirama Parish, Deacon Robert Mugabe from St. Kizito Maziba Parish, Deacon Christopher Niwagaba from Holy Family Buhara Parish, Deacon Innocent Kanyesige from Our Lady of Good Shepherd Rushoroza Cathedral Parish in Kabale District, Deacon Philemon Byomuhangi from Immaculate Heart of Mary Rubanda Parish, and Deacon Alex Muhwezi from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Kishanje Parish in Rubanda District.
During the ordination, Bishop Rubaramira urged the new priests to adhere to the values of the Church and serve diligently.
