King Mswati III of Eswatini Visits the Busoga Kingdom

King Mswati III, the Ngwenyama of Eswatini and head of the Swazi royal family, has pledged to continue the cooperation and friendship established by the Kyabazinga of Busoga. 

 

During his visit to the Igenge Palace in Jinja City, King Mswati III was hosted by His Majesty the Kyabazinga of Busoga, William Wilberforce Kadhumbula Gabula Nadiope IV. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including the Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, royal troops, members of the Busoga Council, and other state officials. 

 

In his remarks, King Mswati III expressed his gratitude to the central government for maintaining peace and promoting technological development. He emphasized the importance of nurturing talent within the kingdoms, noting that today’s youth are the future leaders.

 

The Kyabazinga of Busoga, in his speech, praised King Mswati III for honoring the invitation to visit the Busoga Kingdom. He expressed appreciation for the continued brotherhood, collaborative efforts, and cultural promotion between the two nations, which are vital for future generations.

 

Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga also expressed her gratitude, noting that the cooperation between the two states strengthens ties and contributes to the development of the Busoga Kingdom. 

 

Prime Minister Joseph Muvawala thanked the Kyabazinga for hosting the delegates at the palace.

 

As part of his three-day state visit to Uganda, made at the invitation of President Yoweri Museveni, King Mswati III planted a tree at the palace as a symbol of environmental conservation, aligning with the “Go Green” theme.
