Havad Tumwesigyire Tuteembe commonly known as  Nguulu, a resident of Nyakatojo II village in Nyakashebeya parish, Kashambya sub county currently under detention at Rukiga police station allegedly committed the offense on August 20,2024 at around 07:30 PM.  While at Kayorero trading center in Nyakatojo I village, Tumwesigye allegedly helped the victim’s mother, only identified as Stedia, with his mobile phone to provide light as she went to answer nature’s call in the nearby toilet.

On return after about 10 minutes, the victim narrated how Tumwesigyire had urinated in her private parts. On checking, the mother saw semen oozing inside the victim’s private parts and on the thighs. Stedia immediately alerted police at the Kasyamba police post for help.  Tumwesigyire first went into hiding but was later arrested.  Elly Maate, police spokesperson for the Kigezi region confirmed to our reporter on Thursday that Tumwesigyire will be paraded before the court to answer the charges accordingly after investigations into the matter are complete.

The case is registered at Rukiga police station under file number CRB 316/2024. Tumwesigyire was two years ago caught red-handed by locals committing bestiality with a goat. Late 2023, the neighboring village of Nyakatojo I in the same parish also experienced a shock when another man identified as Gideon Nasasira was found defiling a five-year-old girl of his neighbor. Nasasira who was tested by police medical officers and found HIV Positive is currently on remand at Ndorwa government prison in Kabale district.
