Christmas is always expected to be a time of joy and good cheer. However, 2011 looks set to be a Christmas of its kind.

With rising inflation, food prices, fuel and the general cost of living, some have described it as the most expensive Christmas ever.

Family heads are looking at acquiring loans, to be able to put food on the table for the festive season. Some may have to stretch their wallets a little further, or double the budgets they always made for Christmas.

From Moroto to Arua to Masaka and Hoima, Ugandans everywhere find themselves in a varied range of crises. So we call this edition Christmas in Crisis.

With stories and reports from all over the country, we share with you the joy of Christmas, and the pain of making the festive season it indeed should be.

Tune in to a radio station in your area, and also feel free to get in touch with us with your feedback.

Merry Christmas and a happy 2012!
