The NCBA Auto Show 2025 officially kicked off today at the Kololo Independence Grounds, marking a major highlight in Uganda’s automotive calendar.
Recognized as one of the country’s largest and most comprehensive car exhibitions, the two-day event brings together a dynamic blend of car displays, innovative financial services, insurance solutions, and engaging entertainment. It aims to inspire and empower Ugandans by promoting accessible, affordable, and sustainable vehicle ownership while highlighting cutting-edge advancements in automotive technology and green mobility.
Edgar Tusime, Head of Marketing at NCBA Bank Uganda, said the show is designed to unite car enthusiasts, industry players, businesses, and families in one vibrant space.
“Whether you’re passionate about cars, looking to upgrade your vehicle, or simply curious about the latest trends in automotive technology, this is the place to be,” Tusime said.
He highlighted the event’s diverse offerings, including the latest electric and hybrid vehicles, flexible financing options to help attendees own their dream cars, and thrilling motorsport displays such as drifting and gymkhana that promise excitement for all ages.
Tusime emphasized that the Auto Show is more than a car exhibition—it’s an opportunity for learning, engagement, and fun across the entire automotive ecosystem.
This year’s show features over 50 car brands and key partners such as Double Q, Mark East Africa, and Britam Insurance, creating a comprehensive automotive marketplace. NCBA is also offering on-site vehicle financing assessments with tailored packages for individual buyers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) seeking to expand or upgrade their fleets.
Adad Araguha, Head of Asset Finance at NCBA, outlined the bank’s attractive financing offers, which include up to 100% funding, repayment periods of up to six years, discounted pricing, and complimentary maintenance coverage for up to 100,000 kilometers.
“Buying a brand-new car can often seem like a significant financial commitment. But our flexible financing solutions are designed to make vehicle ownership more accessible and affordable for everyone,” Araguha explained.
He added that new vehicles generally have lower maintenance costs and a reduced environmental footprint, making them a smarter and more sustainable investment compared to used cars. Araguha also stressed the need for stronger regulations to curb the importation of older, high-emission vehicles, which contribute significantly to Uganda’s environmental and public health issues.
Beyond car exhibits, the event offers a variety of family-friendly attractions. These include kids’ zones, live drifting performances, and hands-on workshops on car maintenance—designed to help car owners extend vehicle life and reduce repair costs.
The NCBA Auto Show 2025 continues throughout the weekend, featuring panel discussions on the future of transportation in East Africa and networking sessions that promote innovation and collaboration within the automotive sector.
