This week’s Newz Beat tackles an issue African governments do not like to address: their citizen’s illegal attempts to enter Europe through the dangerous Mediterranean sea   in leaky boats and little cover.
The Beat recalls the World War I and the spirit of Christmas that managed to permeate between bitter antagonists. As we begin 2015, we can look back to that event 100 years ago as a sign that human beings can transcend petty differences to appreciate each other’s humanity.
While prosthetic limbs for human beings have become more commonplace, there have been fewer attempts to help disabled animals get those limbs. The Beat explores this attempt.
