Sheikh Yasin Nseera has sworn in as the caretaker Kadhi of Masaka Muslim District.
He was sworn in by the Mufti Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje at the Uganda Muslim Supreme Council-UMSC headquarters on Tuesday afternoon
The West Buganda Regional Assistant to the Mufti, Sheikh Juma Mawejje and a host of other Muslim leaders from Masaka witnessed the brief event.
The Mufti appointed Sheikh Nseera a week after the former Masaka Kadhi Sheikh BadruWasajja Kiruuta switched sides to the Kibuli based Office of the Supreme Mufti.
He will oversee the Kadhi’s office until the College of Sheikhs in Masaka Muslim districts convenes and nominates two two candidates from which, the Mufti will pick a substantive Kadhi.
