The agreement was formalized at the UMSC headquarters in Old Kampala on September 13, 2024, following the Juma prayers at the National Mosque.

In his remarks, Dr. Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, the Mufti of Uganda highlighted the significance of this MOU in addressing past issues with fraudulent document handling.

He noted that UMSC had previously faced challenges with forged official documents, such as marriage certificates and academic transcripts, which harmed its reputation and operations.

“This MOU marks a critical step forward. We will now ensure secure printing of essential documents like marriage certificates, the UMSC Constitution, receipt books, and academic transcripts. UPPC, you have significant work ahead,” Mufti Mubaje stated.

He expressed gratitude to both parties involved in preparing the MOU and prayed for continued success and blessings for the cooperation.

Hadji Abbas Muluubya Ssekyanzi, UMSC Secretary General, and Mr. Opio Joseph Okurut, UPPC ICT Manager, both praised the agreement for its alignment with shared values and its positive impact on national development.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by Arinda Abdu-Razaq, UMSC Deputy Secretary General in charge of Development and Planning, and Ms. Rebecca Nyakairu from UPPC.
