 Mbarara based Uganda premier league side Nyamityobora Football club has signed coach Alex Isabirye on a three-year contract. Isabirye, who was named the technical director of the club, will work alongside the team's interim trainer Juma Ssekiziyivu.

He replaces Asaph Mwebaze who quit the club last week amid pressure to fight relegation. The team has registered 13 losses in 19 matches and is now positioned 15th on a 16-team table.

The former Uganda Cranes international told our reporter on phone that he is excited to join the team he once served while in the Federation of Uganda Football Association big league. He left Nyamityobora for Soana FC last year

Prior to his return to Nyamityobora, Isabirye, also known as Trezguet was coaching Kyetume FC, which he led to the Uganda Cup quarter finals with a 1-0 win against Kitara FC on Sunday.

Isabirye beat Muhammed Kisekka Jackson Mayanja and Kefa Kisala to the job.
