The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer, Dr. Kizza Besigye will unveil his campaign manifesto and road map to the National Executive Committee (NEC) of the party for scrutiny on Wednesday this week.

In the same meeting, the party NEC will also discuss his campaign funding after the party decided to sponsor him.

This will be preceded by a meeting of the management committee of the party on Tuesday to go through the mobilisation program in support of Besigye's campaign unveiling.

The party's spokesperson, Ibrahim Ssemujju Nganda says the meetings are meant to align Besigye's manifesto to the interests and values of the party.

Cue out: …end of this week.'//

The meeting will also be attended by FDC Members of Parliament and the heads of departments of the party.

Some MPs on the FDC ticket have however expressed reservations on the candidature of Besigye, saying it is selfish. This, after he refused to back former Prime Minister, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi as The Democratic Alliance joint candidate.

The FDC NEC has been convening more than twice a week for the last two weeks to resolve The Democratic Alliance impasse between Mbabazi and Besigye over the joint candidate of the alliance.

Outspoken Kitgum district Woman MP, Beatrice Anywar earlier told URN that she is not in support of the actions of the party, saying FDC is only portraying to the public how untrustworthy the part is.

At the end of the meeting, the party hopes to also unveil the approved list of the members of Besigye's campaign team, who will embark on a countrywide mobilisation drive.
