Residents of Kapelebyong Sub County in Amuria district are living in fear following the invasion of eight Buffalos in the area.
 
Jimmy Eriau, the LC 3 chairperson says the Buffalos could have strayed from Kidepo National Park in Karamoja region.
 
He says the Buffalos invaded people's rice gardens yet it was due for harvesting.

Eriau says the buffalos were seen last week in Okoboi, Akulonyo and Omokor villages in Kapelebyong sub-county.

Eriau says the animals could have followed water from Ongorikipi River that flows from Karamoja to Teso.

He told URN that they have asked to Uganda Wild Life Authority-UWA to intervene in vain.
 

Tonny Olinga, the Uganda Wild Life Authority Community Warden told URN on phone that they have not received any communication about the presence of buffalos in Kapelebyong sub-county.
 
Olinga promised to dispatch a team of game rangers based in Magoro sub-county in Katakwi district to cross check.
