58 candidates who sat for their Primary Leaving Examinations at Buhimba Primary School in Kyabugimbi Sub County, Bushenyi District are stuck after their results were withheld.


11 candidates from Mukora Primary School and 47 from Buhimba primary school sat PLE at Buhimba. Parents of the two schools are furious over the withholding and are demanding for explanation from the school authorities.

 
Florence Ayebare, a parent of Buhimba Primary School says that his son is depressed.  She says that while other candidates are celebrating their results and planning their next move, her son is not sure of the next move and worried of spending another year in primary yet he was excited to join Senior One.

George Kabigumira, another parent says the affected children are finding it hard to cope with the current situation. He wants district education authorities to explain why the results were withheld. Bushenyi District Education Officer, Saul Rwampororo says that his office is aware of the challenge at the schools in question.

 
He says that the education department is yet to receive response from UNEB.
