In short
The land in question was sold at 90 million shillings, a price that is being contested by councilors. The matter is now in court after White Horse Inn sued the municipality for breach of contract.
Councilors in Kabale district are bitter with the leadership of the Municipality for allegedly conniving with the management of a Kabale hotel to develop a disputed piece of land.
The land in question was sold to Kabale White Horse Inn by the former town clerk, Augustine Bujara, a decision that was challenged by the leadership of the council who ordered that the right procurement procedures be followed.
However recently, Kabale White Horse Inn embarked on developing the land into parking space.
Leopold Twesigye, the councilor representing Kigongi ward in Kabale Municipal Council says there are still issues to be resolved on the disposal of the land.

Kabale deputy town clerk, Lauben Ntegyereize told URN that much as the Municipal leaders are concerned about the said development, Kabale Municipality is working hard to ensure that the matter is resolved.
He further reveals that after the council challenged the procurement of the land, Management of White Horse Inn since sued the municipality for breach of contract.

The decision by former Kabale Municipality town clerk Augustine Bujara to sell off the land in question at a cost of shillings 90 million drew protests from local leaders, who said that the procurement procedures were never put into consideration.
