Uganda Cranes in likely to end up in the same group with Ethiopia or Burundi at the 2014 Africa Nations Championships when the draws are made on Wednesday at the CAF headquarters in Cairo, Egypt.
According to classification of the teams by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) as per the last two editions of CHAN, Uganda Cranes cannot face Gabon, Mali and Libya in the group stages as they have been placed together in Pot 2.

But coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic’s boys can face either Ethiopia or Burundi in the group stages since the two teams have been placed in Pot 3 because of lack of previous appearance in the CHAN competition. CAF placed Ghana, DR Congo, Zimbabwe and hosts South Africa as top seeds in Pot 1, while Nigeria and Burkina Faso are also in Pot 3. The likes of Mauritania, Morocco, Mozambique and Congo Brazzaville are in Pot 4.
