Danish Tourists Drown In Lake Bunyonyi

Two Danish tourists are feared dead after they drowned in Lake Bunyonyi on Wednesday morning.

Magezi Anderson, a staff at Byona Amagara camp, says that the two men identified as Dustin Sabastiano and Srith Thomas arrived at the camp on Tuesday and booked accomodation for one week.

On Wednesday morning, the two left the camp and jumped onto a small canoe. They were last seen jumping out of the canoe and swimming in the 900 meter deep Lake Bunyonyi. 

Anderson says, police have been called in to help search for the missing tourists.

Elly Maate, the South Southern Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, however  says they haven’t got the information.

The tourists arrived at Byona Amagara on Tuesday this week and they were to stay there for a week.
