Former Coordinator of Intelligence Services Gen. David Sejusa has flown back into Uganda.

Sejusa flew in aboard a British Airways plane that landed at Entebbe International Airport at 3:20am.
He was received at the airport by Internal Security Organisation's Boss Brig. Ronnie Balya and his lawyer Ladislaus Rwakafuzi.
According to sources, he was escorted to the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence for a brief meeting and later left for his home in Sembabule District.
It is not known what the meeting at CMI discussed or under what circumstance the general returned home.

Sejusa fled the country in 2013 after writing a letter in which he accused President Yoweri Museveni's government of plotting to assassinate several high ranking army officials opposed to "the Muhoozi Project."
In the letter, Gen. Sejusa claimed that there are plans to have Brig. Kainerugaba Muhoozi succeed his father, President Museveni.

Uganda Media Centre Executive Director Ofwono Opondo confirms the return of the highly decorated general on his twitter handle.

"Sejusa was received by his family, lawyer & Director General Internal Security Organisation ISO Brig. Ronnie Balya," Opondo twitted.
Rwakafuzi told URN that the general has no case to answer at the moment and will continue to enjoy his rights. Rwakafuzi also said they are ready to deal with legal challenges as they come.

Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga when asked whether Sejusa would be arrested said that the police had been notified of his return and that he had sought government permission.
Enanga says the police has no case against Sejusa and are not planning on arresting him.

Before his fall out with the regime, that also saw him lose his seat in parliament as the army representative, Sejusa served in several positions in the army and government.
He enjoys a rich military career that has seen him command operations against the Lord's Resistance Army and also rise to the helm of Internal Security Organisatio and coordinator of Military Intelligence.
He is often referred to as the "controversial general" after he blamed the President of prolonging the LRA war in Northern Uganda and later accused the president of pushing for his son to succeed him as a president.

While in London, Sejusa founded the Freedom party that he said was to deliver Uganda from the chains of ‘Museveni's succession politics'.

It is not immediately clear if he will vie for any electoral post in the coming 2016 elections but at his landing, Sejusa said he had returned to enjoy his full constitutional rights.

Opposition leader Kizza Besigye was quick to welcome the general home on his twitter account saying that the renegade Gen. Sejusa has landed back in the country after a year of exile in London.

There is heavy military deployment in Maganjo where Sejusa has his first home.
The army spokesperson Maj. Henry Obbo says they are simply providing security for the renegade General. General was ‘welcome home'.
