Dokolo Man Killed Over Land Dispute

Police in Dokolo district is conducting an investigation to establish circumstances under which a 27-year-old man was killed.The deceased identified as Solomon Ebong, a resident of Okii-Opokere village in Agwata Sub County was killed on Sunday around 4pm.

A 27-year-old man has been killed over a land dispute in Dokolo District.

Solomon Ebong, a resident of Okii-Opokere village in Agwata Sub County was killed on Sunday.

Police has arrested Julius Ojok, 25, a resident of the same area on allegations of killing Ebong. It is alleged that Ojok waylaid the deceased and hit him with a stone on the head.

Dariuos Obwona, LC1 Chairperson Okii-Opokere, says that  Ojok and the deceased have for a long time been involved in a land dispute.

According to Obwona, Ebong had returned from prison after serving two weeks for trespassing on Ojok's land.

Jimton Aguta, the Dokolo district police commander says they have proposed the charge of murder against the suspect.
