Democratic Party (DP) Secretary General Mathias Nsubuga is admitted at Case Clinic in Kampala after suffering a massive stroke.

In a press release issued today, DP president Norbert Mao says Nsubuga suffered the stroke yesterday at Mukono Bookshop in Kampala.

"All this happened in the presence of the Organising Secretary Sulaiman Kidandala who was with him. He is incapable of talking and his right lateral completely paralysed," reads part of the press release.

Mao further notes that Nsubuga, a former member of parliament for Bukoto South, is currently in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under scrutiny of physicians who are trying to establish the cause of the stroke.

"There are enormous tests that have been carried out and the results show that his brain and all the organs are still operative. More tests are yet to be done," further reads Mao's statement.
