DP To Write To Pope Francis

The Democratic Party will next week write to Pope Francis to brief him about the political situation in Uganda, before his visit next month.

Party president, Norbert Mao says the report will be prepared together with other democratic seeking forces in the country.
The document according to Mao, will brief the Pope on issues affecting the country that he should talk about when he visits in November.

Pope Francis will be in Uganda to mark the 50th anniversary of the canonisation of the Uganda Martyrs. He will lead mass at the Catholic Martyrs Shrine in Namugongo, and visit the martyrs' shrine in Munyonyo. He is also expected to meet youth, catechists, seminarians and bishops during his visit.
