Karuhanga Wins Ntungamo Municipality Seat

Outgoing Western Youth MP, Gerald Karuhanga has won the Ntungamo Municipality Parliamentary seat.

The out spoken former Western youth member of parliament, Gerald Karuhanga has been declared the MP elect for Ntungamo municipality after beating two of his rivals with a 56.2% margin.

Karuhanga who was standing as an independent candidate beat his brother in-law Yona Musinguzi Bikwasizehi. Musinguzi got 2.375 votes.The other candidate Federal alliance's Bosco Tumwesigye got 151 votes.

The Ntungamo district returning officer Robert Baine declared Karuhanga a dully elected MP. He however  nullified elections from two polling stations whose ballot boxes were stolen after voting by supporters of Karuhanga's rivals.

The polling stations had only 571 added together.
