President of the Federation of International Football Associations (FIFA), Gianni Infantino is happy with the football developments taking place in Uganda.


In a message read for him by Leodegar Tenga during the Fufa General Assembly on-going at the Kabalega Resort Hotel in Masindi today, Infantino noted that he is happy with the efforts the Fufa regime led by Moses Magogo is putting in place good governance.


"He is committed to continue supporting Uganda as a member association," added Tenga, who was representing Infantino. Tenga is also a former Tanzania  Football FA president and honorary president of Cecafa.

Tenga also thanked the president of Uganda Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for his tireless effort in supporting sports and football in particular.


In his address, the Djibouti FA President who is also an executive member of the Confederation of SAfrica Football (CAF) and member of the FIFA competitions committee, Hassan Souleiman Waberi said they are happy with the football developments in Uganda.

"I speak to represent the CAF president Ahmad Ahmad and bring his greetings to the Assembly. We are happy with the developments in Uganda and will continue to give support," added Waberi.


Moses Magogo who is seeking another term by the end of the Assembly when the elections take place told the Assembly that his team has worked tirelessly and improved football as a brand in the country. "We guided Uganda to the Africa Cup of Nations after 39 years, brought many sponsors on board and we have improved the national Premier League and bringing back more fans into the stadiums among other things," he added.
