Friendship Bus Attack: Four Ugandans Missing

Four Ugandans are still missing following an attack on a coach belonging to Friendship bus registration number UAM 126V in South Sudan at Konyi Village, 70km from Nimule boarder post. Those missing include the driver, his conductor and two passengers.
 
 
11 people were on the Kampala bound bus when it was attacked by suspected South Sudan rebels.  Police spokesperson, Andrew Felix Kaweesi, says five people were injured in the attack.   

 
"South Sudanese soldier were able to rush four people to Juba hospital where one died. The other injured passenger crossed to Uganda and is admitted at Adjumani hospital," said Kaweesi. She has since been identified as Suzan Nsubuga.
 

The other survivors of the attack are Mercy Awori and another only identified as Deo. Police is yet to establish the identity of the dead and injured passengers admitted in Juba. 



According to Kaweesi, the South Sudan police and South Sudan People's Liberation Army has launched a manhunt for the missing passengers.
