The first division league season has been rescheduled from December to September, drawing anger of team managers in South Western Uganda.
The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA), competitions committee decided to reschedule the soccer calendar for lower leagues, to pave way for sufficient time to prepare for the super league season.
But team managers are not happy about the new dates on grounds that they were never consulted about the new changes.
Richman Mugisha, the Mountain Gorilla FC manager, says that the decision by FUFA was done hastily and could affect the outcome of the league matches. He argues that September is used as a holiday for the players.
Mugisha says that it could prove difficult to organize adequately for the season considering that the teams have only one month to prepare.

Papius Mugabe, the Chairman Mutorele United FC in Kisoro district, is worried that his office may find it difficult to scout for talent, because of the short notice given to the teams.
In Kanungu district, soccer managers there are worried about the possibility of their teams advancing to the 2nd division league.
Charles Masembe, the FUFA Chief Executive Officer, however says the changes can't be reversed; instead the lower divisions should embrace the changes and prepare their teams for the matches.
