Presidential candidate, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has told the people of Pallisa that government is going to tarmac the Tirinyi-Pallisa-Kumi road next year.

 
While campaigning in Pallisa and Kibuku districts on Thursday, Museveni assured the residents that money had already been secured to start works on the road.

 
He says government has secured a loan of 385 billion shillings from the Islamic Development Bank to tarmac the 111 km stretch that also includes tarmacking of Mbale-Pallisa road.

He asked Ugandans to play their role by fighting poverty, living a healthy lifestyle and supporting the NRM government so as to enjoy the peace in the country.



Museveni proceeds to Tororo, where he is expected to hold three campaign rallies.
