Uganda Cranes will play their first international friendly against Guinea tonight at 9pm at the Rabat Stadium in Morocco.


The two teams will use the game to prepare ahead of the 2018 Total Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) which runs January 13th to February 4th. "We are ready to face Guinea and try out several things. The game will help me access the players in game situations," said Uganda Cranes new coach Sébastien Desabre.


Ahmed Hussein, spokesman told URN that after spending several hours traveling, the team has settled in well and are ready for battle. Uganda Cranes were meant to face Cameroon in the first build-up game before it was changed. On January 9th Desabre's team will have another game against Congo Brazzaville.


The KCCA FC duo of Derrick Nsibambi and Shaban Muhammad are expected to led Uganda Cranes attack.


The CHAN tournament which will brings together 16 national teams will take place in four towns in Morocco. Uganda who will be based in Marrakech will play alongside Zambia, Namibia and Cote d'Ivoire in Group B.
It will be Uganda's fourth appearance at the Africa Nations Championship after making their debut in 2011 in Sudan. The Cranes also featured in the 2014 event in South Africa and last year in Rwanda.
