Heavy Deployment At Kyenjojo HC Ahead Of Besigye's Visit

Uganda Radio Network has counted seven police officers deployed at the entrance at Kyenjojo Health Centre IV.

Police have heavily deployed at Kyenjojo Health Centre IV ahead of Dr. Kizza Besigye's visit to the district.

About seven police officers are deployed at the main entrance of the health facility Monday afternoon.

The Kyenjojo District Police Commander, Martin Mbabazi confirms the deployment, saying it was normal procedure.

Two nurses within the health centre who do not want to be named, however say this is the first time armed police officers are deployed at the facility. They say usually, it is private security guards who are deployed to keep security.

The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential flag bearer, Dr. Kizza Besigye is expected in the district on Monday afternoon to campaign.

On Friday, another presidential candidate, John Patrick Amama Mbabazi was blocked form visiting Kabale Hospital, days after Besigye had visited Abim Hospital, where a nurse explained the pain they go through to provide health services.
