Phionah Dede was stabbed to death on Sunday at a dance party organised by Nelson Lufafa, an aspirant for the Butembe County seat in Lion Mukubwa zone in Kakira town council.
 
 
Lufafa is contesting in the NRM primaries against Daudi Migereko, the incumbent Butembe County Member of parliament for election as NRM party flag bearer.
 
 Fred Ahimbisibwe, the Kakira District Police Commander says Dede was stabbed in a scuffle that broke out between the supporters of Nelson Lufafa and his rival Migereko.

Both politicians have declined to comment on the incident. Dede is a daughter of David Adebo, the councilor representing Lion Mukubwa zone. He was part of the organisers of the youth sports gala.
 
 
Dr. Sophie Namasolo, the Medical Director Jinja Regional Referral Hospital says the postmortem report shows that bled to death after she was stabbed was assaulted and stabbed with a sharp object.
 

Eric Sakwa, the Jinja Deputy Resident District Commissioner says following the death of Dede they have banned all night gathering until further notice.
