Former Regional Affairs Minister Isaac Isanga Musumba returns to parliament after winning polls in the Buzaaya County parliamentary race.  He polled 18,381 votes to trounce the incumbent Martin Muzaale with against 16,649 votes.

Also returning to Parliament is Presidential Advisor Moses Kizige who won the Bugabula North parliamentary race with 9,984 defeating Flavia Omondi who scored 7,220 followed by John Teira with 4,496 votes. The incumbent Andrew Allen trailed 860 votes.

The two were members of the sixth and seventh parliament who lost the constituencies during the 2011 general election.

In Bugabula South, State Minister for Works Asuman Kiyingi lost the seat to former Makerere University Guild President Henry Morris Kibalya who garnered 24,003 against his 15,748 votes. The third runner up in the race Robert Gwaivu only polled 391.

Hajjat Rehema Watongola polled 8,174 votes to trounce FDC's Salaamu Musumba, who obtained 6702 votes in the race to represent the newly created Kamuli Municipality in Parliament.

Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga thumped rival Deborah Mwesigwa Mugerwa with a margin of 67,780 votes. Kadaga garnered 91,853 votes against rival Deborah Mwesigwa's 24,073 votes with FDC's Eve Namwase Miria coming last with 7,256 votes.
